Housing
IDEA VERONA provides its students with an accommodation search and booking service, free of charge. The school itself has no accommodation facilities; therefore the assignment and the costs of the lodging vary are according to the lodging type, the period of stay and space availability. Costs may also vary slightly due to the length of the stay, the season of the year and various features of the accommodation (i.e. distance from the school, additional conveniences such as TV, air conditioning, parking facilities, etc). All accommodations are always located in the proximity of the school and the town centre, both easily reachable on foot (5 to 20 minutes walk) or by public transportation. All family stay accomodations have been carefully selected by the school management, and personally met by the director, who ensures that the family and facilities are suitable and enthusiastic to host foreign students. In order to ensure that your accommodations preferences are met, it is necessary to submit the housing application preference form at least 20-30 days before the course starts. Once the application and housing deposit have been received, IDEA VERONA will confirm the details of the students housing assignment. Prior to arrival students will receive the exact street address of their housing facilities. Accommodation is generally booked from the Sunday preceding the starting date of the course through the following day after the program has ended. We kindly ask those students who wish to modify, or cancel their reservation, to notify IDEA VERONA at least 20 days in advance, to avoid being charged for their accommodation.
Types of accommodation:
FURNISHED FLAT
This type of accomodation includes one or two-room furnished flats, which can be independent, or may shared with other students or owner.
The flats are comprised of a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom (sheets and towels are provided). All utilities are included in the price, except telephone calls.
HOME-STAYS
Students in home stays are given the opportunity to experience the daily life of an Italian family, and are accommodated in a single room. This option is the best way to fully immerse in the Italian linguistic reality and to make new acquaintances. All expenses are covered, with the exception of telephone calls, and it is possible to choose between two meal options: breakfast only or bed, breakfast and dinner.
RESIDENCE
The residence option offers a fully furnished one-room flat, equipped with a little kitchen and a bathroom. Bed sheets and towels, as well as all other services with the exception of the telephone, are included in the price.
HOTEL
The school can help you find a room in a hotel in Verona for both long and short stays.
