Artistic and Creative Courses
To attend one of these courses, a supplement of € 120,00 to € 230,00 is required, with an additional charge for guided tours. Lessons are held on Monday and Friday afternoons. A minimum of 4 enrolled students is required for these courses to be held.
DRAWNING,“AFFRESCO”, AND WATERCOLOR PAINTING
The focus of these courses are based on the most important painters of the Italian school, such as Giotto, Michelangelo, Raffaello, and others. Our art teachers adjust the ancient techniques to accommodate the use of modern mediums and materials. For instance, the “Affresco” technique consists of spreading successive layers of lime onto a canvas, and then drawing the desired image with charcoal. The image is then painted with colored pigments, which “dry” into the surface of the lime.
ITALIAN REGIONAL COOKING
This course introduces students to the traditional cuisine of the Veronese region. Students will experience methods of cooking in local kitchens and participate in the preparation of various well known dishes from this region. Each session ends with a dinner party where the participants can enjoy what they have prepared.
ITALIAN REGIONAL WINE APPRECIATION This course provides students with a survey and tasting of the exceptional wines produced within the Veneto Region. It includes the study of wine routes through the vineyards that produce the excellent Valpolicella, Amarone, Soave, Bardolino, and Prosecco wines. A walking tour of the historic wine taverns and wine cellars of Verona with possibility of a wine tasting included.
CLAY HAND-BUILDING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP
Clay is a very versatile material which allow to realize both functional and sculptural objects.
The course will have a tactile approach, focussing on clay itself as a material, through the following Hand-building techniques: coil-building, slab-rolling, press-mould and pinching methods.
Suitable for beginners and for people with previous experience.
