Students coming from countries from which a visa is necessary to enter Italy, can enrol and attend a course at IDEA VERONA provided that they have a visa for TOURISM (for stays of up to 90 days) or for STUDY (indispensible for periods of over 90 days).
Before enrolling in one of our courses we encourage students to contact the Italian diplomatic representation or Consulate nearest the student’s hometown to obtain precise, up-to-date information on the procedures for obtaining a visa. Below we have outlined some of the necessary requirements needed to begin the visa application process.
In some countries the process of getting a visa can be a time consuming and tedious process and it is for this reason advisable to enrol some months before the beginning of the course.
A visa for TOURISM can be issued not only by an Italian Consulate, but also by a Consular Representation in any country adhering to the treaty of Schengen (France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Austria, Greece) and is valid for residence in all of these countries, regardless of which country it was issued by. The visa for STUDY can only be issued by the Italian Consulate (or by the Consular Section of the Italian Embassy) competent in the country of residence of the applicant.
