THE SCHOOL: METHODS FOR LEARNING ITALIAN
There are courses at different levels. Each student has the possibility to develop his or her linguistic and grammatical knowledge partly by means of simulations of real-life situations, so that their use of the language becomes confident and spontaneous.
The aim is to give students receptive skills such as understanding, listening and reading, as well as productive skills, such as writing, speaking and interacting in Italian.
During the morning lessons, students concentrate on learning and applying linguistic structures and functions in Italian, whereas in the afternoons they focus on conversation and aspects of Italian culture.
Grammar is not dealt with in a rigid manner, but as a useful reference system for comprehending the linguistic structures, which will then knowingly be used in a correct manner.
Courses are generally planned to take place over four weeks, but it is possible and indeed encouraged that students take part in several consecutive courses.
